for the most part yes, but it’s not for everyone. Social media sites like facebook have the ability to target your demographic in ways search engins never could. Or at least don’t tell us they can. But that doesn’t mean it’s the best option for you. I always try to have more then one traffic steam coming to my site and in that case facebook should defenetly be a consideration.
The reason I say it’s not for everyone are the type of Facebook users. There are things that interest them and things that just plainly don’t. If your industry is something they will find interesting you will make allot of money.
So how do you know if social media marketing is for you?
The only way you can find out is to spend some time on the platform the interests your potential customers. Start a Google search for groups interested in a certain subject and visit the sites. They will direct you to their Facebook page, Twitter handle or whatever platform they use. From there start reading all the posts you can possibly find. This is gold, they will give you all the information you need about you target audience.
Your next step shoul be starting an excel sheet or better yet a mind map. And map out all the subjects those groups talk about. Then research and become as knowledgeable as you possibly can on those subjects. Start answering question they have and build yourself up as a professional on those subjects. Remember you only need to be one step ahead of your readers to teach them something new.
